Submit stories of up to 5,000 words.
$10 submission fee
The winner will receive $1,000 and publication in Breakwater Review.
All finalists will be considered for publication.
Deadline is January 15, 2017. Winners will be announced Spring 2017.
This Year's Judge
ZZ Packer holds a BA from Yale University, an MA from Johns Hopskins, and an MFA from the Iowa Writer's Workshop. Her 2003 collection Drinking Coffee Elsewhere was published to critical acclaim and was a finalist for the Pen/Faulkner award. In 2010, she was named one of the "20 under 40" writers to watch by The New Yorker.
